How Philadelphia neighborhoods compare

Philadelphia's safety divide is among the starkest of any major U.S. city. The leafy Northwest, the outer Northeast, and pockets of Center City and South Philadelphia grade strongly, while Kensington, swaths of North Philadelphia, and parts of West and Southwest Philadelphia bear the brunt of the city's gun violence and open-air drug activity.
